Question 1

Is prizechecker.com legit?

Accepted Answer

The public evidence suggests it is part of a misleading prize mailer funnel. Treat it as untrustworthy and avoid sharing personal or financial information on it.

Question 2

Is prizechecker.com a scam?

Accepted Answer

Many consumer reports and review sites describe it that way. Regulators have not, in the sources I reviewed, issued a specific action against this domain, so the most accurate description is deceptive.

Question 3

Do I have to visit a dealership to claim a prize from prizechecker.com?

Accepted Answer

Consumers commonly report that they must. A genuine prize usually does not require a sales appointment.

Question 4

Can I get my money back if I paid a fee?

Accepted Answer

Contact your bank or card issuer right away, report the charge as fraud, and file a complaint with your state attorney general and the FTC.

Question 5

Why do I keep getting these mailers?

Accepted Answer

Dealerships use prize mailers to attract people who are not actively shopping for a car. Once you respond, your contact information may be used for future offers.

Question 6

What should I do if I already visited the dealership?

Accepted Answer

Keep your paperwork, note the names of staff who spoke with you, and report the experience to your state attorney general. Do not sign anything until you have read it carefully.
